Procrastination and Time Management!
Staying on top of things and getting things done as soon as possible has never been easy, especially for college students. I am not saying this applies to everyone, but you know who you are those that study or do homework at the very last minute. A good example is studying the night before for an exam or even studying on the morning of! This is all due to Procrastination and poor time management. I am pretty sure we have all done it at one point in our lives and it is not cool. I think that procrastination makes people lazy when instead we could be so productive. I also think that procrastination is due to poor time management. If we do not set a plan for whatever time that we need to get things done, then we will eventually procrastinate. I realize that student handbook really helps with organization and effective time management. I try to set times when I need to get things done (which are way before they are due) and I accomplish it. I use to put things off and say to myself that “Oh, I’ll get it done later”, but over time I realize that procrastination needs to be defeated. Now I follow this motto “If it comes up in your mind, get it done”, and that helped me a significantly conquer procrastination. I now have a planner, I have set times and goals when I want to get a certain task finished so I no longer procrastinate. I know that as a nursing student, we do not want to procrastinate it is always better to get things done and out of the way. I truly believe that if we have set goals and effective time management we can beat procrastination and be more productive.
